What You Will Do: As a WordPress and Shopify Web Developer at Growth Scalers, you will be responsible for improving the functionality, speed, and overall performance of our clients' websites. You will handle both front-end and back-end development, ensuring that all websites are optimized for SEO, responsive, and deliver exceptional user experiences. You will work closely with our operations team, implementing new features, optimizing website performance, and ensuring consistency across all platforms.‍Your responsibilities will include:1.  Performance Optimization:o  Improve website performance (Speed, LCP, CLS) using Pagespeed Insights and Claude Code.o  Compress images to WebP format using Claude Code and any other necessary libraries.2.  SEO Optimization:o  Add alt text and keywords to images and web pages using Claude Code.o  Optimize URLs to include relevant keywords based on your research.3.  Build Reusable Solutions:o  Develop eCommerce features and store updates in GitHub for reuse in various projects.4. Tracking:o  Experience with Google Tag Manager, custom events, tags, and triggers.o  Experience with Google Analytics, Clarity, or similar analytics tools.5. Create Functioning Websites:o  Ensure all themes are responsive, optimized for speed, and compatible across all devices and browsers.o  Meticulously check all links, buttons, and interactive elements for proper functionality.o  Maintain consistent typography, color schemes, and design elements throughout the entire website.6.  Front-End Development:o  Improve front-end based on design specifications.o  Support the team with creating HTML banners and email HTML templates.o  Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.o  Ability to translate Figma designs into functional website interfaces.7.  Back-End Development:o  Strong back-end development experience with PHP and Shopify’s Liquid.8. Methodology:o  Work efficiently on local machines, staging, and production environments without disrupting functioning websites.o  Use GitHub for version control and collaborative development.‍Skills: We are looking for a candidate with the following key skills:·       Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within a team.·       Proficiency in Front-End Development: Excellent front-end skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.·       Back-End Development: Strong experience with PHP and Shopify’s Liquid.·       SEO & Performance Optimization: Proven track record of improving website speed, performance, and SEO optimization.·       Version Control: Experience with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.·       Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.·       Attention to Detail: Ensure that all links, images, and interactive elements work properly, and the site is optimized across all devices.‍Bonus Skills:·       API & Modern App Development.·       Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services).·       Experience with Design Tools such as Figma and the ability to convert design into front-end code.·        Typescript knowledge is a plus.‍Applying for this Role: To apply, please submit your resume along with a brief introductory video (1–3minutes).
